Also you need something that you can heat up so that the bun is warm on the inside.

This is legitimately how I had a sausage served to me in Greenland. They used one of the donut filler machines to poke a hole in the side of the bread and pump in a bit of some sort of mayonnaise based sauce then they stuffed it with the sausage. It was awesome, and no mess left at all. 10/10.
